Read Art Inspired Interiors Now

Just like the relationship and inspiration between fashion and interior design we discussed in one of our previous posts, art has the same power and influence. Art can transport you to another place and another time, and we believe the perfect interior can do the same thing. Both mediums use colour, texture and pattern to create a feeling - whether you are wandering the rooms of a museum or creating the spaces in your own home. The brushstrokes of Monet can inspire a calm, feminine space and the colours of Picasso can encourage an eclectic, bold interior. Below we've paired some of our favourite pieces by some of our favourite artists with interiors that reflect the same spirit and feeling of these works of art!

Piet Mondrian, Composition II in Red, Blue and Yellow (1930) // Interior

Gustav Klimt, Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I (1907) // Interior

Pablo Picasso, Woman with a Book (1932) // Interior

Claude Monet, Water Lilies (1908) // Interior

Jackson Pollock, Yellow Islands (1952) // Interior
